LILIAN E. WISE

Lilian E. Wise practices primarily in the Firm’s Licensing Section.

After earning her law degree from the University of Sonora in Hermosillo, Mexico, where she graduated second in her class, Lilian became a member of the Louisianan Bar in 2004. Before joining the Firm, she worked at a Fortune 100 company in New Orleans.

Lilian co-leads the Licensing Section and supervises a team of attorneys and paralegals who assists clients in obtaining required licenses and registrations. She is a known expert on the licensing and registration requirements for financial services businesses. She and her group interact on a day-to-day basis with regulators throughout the country. Through her extensive experience, Lilian has built a rapport with nearly all of the state licensing regulators, which has helped clients to resolve complicated licensing and regulatory issues.

Lilian has overseen many of the largest licensing projects in the country for enterprise debt collectors and debt buyers. She is also often called upon to assist in due diligence and M&A work relating to licensing issues.
