Kenneth A. Ohashi practices primarily in the Firm’s Consumer Defense Section and Commercial Litigation Section.
Ken focuses on defending claims filed under various federal and state consumer protection statutes, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and California Consumer Credit Reporting Agencies Act. Ken is an experienced litigator with significant first chair experience. He has successfully defended clients in numerous single-plaintiff and class action lawsuits and arbitrations throughout the country. He has taken hundreds of depositions and successfully resolved dozens of complex cases in arbitrations and mediations.
Ken is a well-known attorney in the financial services industry, who has amassed many important and helpful victories for the industry. He is also a trusted advisor regarding compliance related issues and often counsels clients on new and developing trends.
Prior to practicing law, Ken earned a Masters Degree in Music Performance from the University of Southern California. He is a gifted piano and clarinet player, who has played in several large opera performances.
